“Hot Rod” LaMance Nabs Second Straight Hartwell LM Win

For the second straight week, Steve “Hot Road” LaMance beat all comers at Hartwell Speedway to score the Crate Late Model victory at the Hartwell, GA 3/8 mile clay raceway.

LaMance, of Six Mile, South Carolina, held off Frankie Beard for the win. Parker Herring finished in third, with Cody Pritchett in fourth and Grand Jordan in fifth.

Eric Veal, Cameron Crowe, Adam Partain, Chris Morgan and Leon Walker rounded out the top ten.

In other action, Ashley Poole held off David McCoy to take the Limited Late Model victory. Brad Rachels finished in third, with Bubba Russell in fourth and Jimmy Johnson in fifth.

Chase Lampp topped the Hobby Stock field to take the feature win. Shane Yarbrough finished in second, followed by Danny Cash in third, Chris McKeehan in fourth and A.J. Watson in fifth.

John Teasley was the winner in the Modified Street feature, with Kole Hardy in second, Thomas Segars in third, Jennifer Everett in fourth and Chris Jones in fifth.

Jeremy Jones came home with the Stock V8 feature victory. Evan Brown, Ricky Mauldin, Shannon Duck and Rocky Jones rounded out the top five.

In the Stock Four Cylinder feature, Shane Strickland beat out Cy Strickland for the win. Bobby Shelton finished third, with Travis Hubbard fourth and Brandon Long fifth.

Steven Powell was the winner in the Up Front feature. Joel Powell, Jr. finished second, with Joel Powell, Sr. in third, Jason Richey in fourth and Justin Sorrow in fifth.

Hartwell Speedway returns to action on Saturday, May 21 for the third annual Wendell “Peanut Man” Rousey Memorial Race.
