The best way to celebrate the anniversary of a race track is by winning on it.

That was the case for Colby Cannon, as he scored the FASTRAK Pro Late Model victory at Toccoa Raceway, as the historic Toccoa, Georgia speedway marked its 61st anniversary.

Cannon held off Derrick Harvey to record the win. Ricky Smith finished in third, with Sylvan Schuette in fourth and Jason Bates in fifth.

Also on hand for the track’s anniversary race was the NVRA vintage race car association. Woody Callaway scored the win in the NVRA Vintage feature, edging out Fred Herrien for the victory. Brett Moore finished in third, followed by Zack Minielly in fourth and Dale Stephens in fifth.

In the NVRA Skeeter feature, Bo Wagner took the victory, with Pete Cashwell in second, Martin Sapp in third, Happy Winslet in fourth and Pete Cobb in fifth.

In other action, Wesley English scored the win in the Limted Late Model feature. Clayton Turner finished second, with Gus Simpson third, Andrew Collins fourth and David Conley fifth.

John Howard took home the victory in the 602 Sportsman/Hobby feature, with Brandon Stroud in second, Mike Payne in third, Thomas Riggins in fourth and Brandon Elliot in fifth.

Chris Cape was the winner in the Modified Street feature, with Joe Caples, Drew Whitefield, Clifton Snow and Chad Sellers rounding out the top five.

In the Stock 4 feature, Shannon Etheridge made the trip to victory lane for the win. Kevin Kelly finished second, with Harley Holden in third, Bobby Rhinehart in fourth and Bobby Boshears in fifth.

Chayse York took the victory in the Stock V8 feature, with Ray Foskey in second, Christopher Golden in third, Matthew Furgerson in fourth and Lynn Cleveland in fifth.

Jackie Holden was the winner in the Front Wheel Drive feature. Robert Cook came home in second, with Chris Hunt in third, Daniel Reynolds in fourth and Jermey Kastner in fifth.

Toccoa Raceway returns to action on Saturday, May 21, featuring the debut of the track’s new Pro Truck division, along with a slate of regular racing divisions.
