Haskins Scores Rupert Porter Memorial Win At Anderson

Cody Haskins made his second trip of the season to Anderson Motor Speedway’s victory lane, but made it in the biggest race of the year at the Williamston, SC raceway.

Haskins held off R.A. Brown over the course of the 100 lap Late Model Stock feature to score the win in Friday night’s Rupert Porter Memorial, held in honor track builder and owner Rupert Porter, who passed away in 2009.

It marked the second victory of the season for the Marietta, GA driver, who has racked up a number of second place results this year, mostly to Brown.

Dylan Hall crossed the finish line in third, with Anthony Anders in fourth and Lee Pulliam in fifth.

David Roberts, Kres Van Dyke, Kason Plott, Trey Gibson and Luke Sorrow rounded out the top ten.

In other action, Chad Campbell took the win in the Mini Stock feature, with David Darnell finishing in second, Avery Burgess in third, Ryan Lockwood in fourth and Koleman Bryan in fifth.

Chris Whitfield topped the Renegade field to pick up the feature victory. Billy Brown finished second, followed by Shane Brown in third, Jonathon Ragsdale in fourth and Steve Guthrie in fifth.

Eric Stokes was the winner in the Super Renegade feature, with Ted Somero in second, Jeff Chadwick third, Michael Mote fourth and Chris Black fifth.

Austin Northcutt crossed the finish line first for the BM Modified feature. Will Ragsdale, Jason McDowell, Trevor Sanders and Chad Stewart rounded out the top five.

In the U.S. Legends feature, Chase Purdy took the win, with Dillon Spain in second, Rex Brown in third, Jacob Heafner in fourth and Karl Moberg in fifth.

Tommy Davis took top honors in the Front Wheel Drive feature. Michael Posey finished in second, followed by Scott Parker in third, Don Tavernia in fourth and Brian King in fifth.
