Michael Page took the lead away from T.J. Reaid on a restart, and went on to score back-to-back wins in the Super Late Model feature at Dixie Speedway in Woodstock, GA Saturday night.

Ronnie Johnson set fast time in qualifying, but a inversion draw of four put Reaid, a long time asphalt racer who has made the move to dirt, on the pole with Page on the outside of the front row.

On the drop of the green, Page jumped to the lead with Jason Croft moving to second while Reaid slipped back to third. These three would pace the field until the caution flew on lap eight for an issue by Buster Goss. On the restart, Page retook the lead, but was quickly passed by Reaid on lap 10.

It looked as if Reaid could score his first win in Dixie’s premier class but another caution came out, forcing another restart. As the green once again flew, Reaid had the lead down the backstretch, but Page made the move going into turn three to take the lead. Page led the remainder of the race while Reaid slipped to third as Croft moved to second on the final lap. Johnson finished fourth with Johnny Chastain in fifth.

In other aciton Jeff Smith led wire-to-wire for the Steel Head Late Model feature win. Chris Fennell finished second followed closely by Don Jenkins in third. Jimmy Price ran fourth with Bob Johnson in fifth.

It was Championship night in the Crate Late Model feature, with Mark Page taking the win. Zach Pilcher and Justin Shipley raced each other for second, with Pilcher getting the spot at the finish. Matthew Turner finished fourth with Shane Smith in fifth.

The Super Bomber feature was also a Championship event. Terry Vollrath came out on top of a three wide battle for the lead on lap one only to lose the lead on lap three to Richard Goode, who led the rest of the way to his first Dixie Speedway win since 1997. Andy Morris, Randall Powell, Scottie Pritchett and Cass Fowler rounded out the top five.

Dalton Polston looked to be heading for the win in the Economy Bomber feature until he was passed by Austin Smith with two laps to go. As Smith approached the final lap, smoke began to erupt from Smith’s car as his motor began blow. Smith held on to win the feature with Polston in second. Dan Meadows followed in third with Kyle Beavers in fourth and Joe Trantham in fifth.

Jamie Cross won his tenth Pony Stock feature of the year and his seventh in a row. Jason Verong ran a distant second with Jeremy Ray in third, Bo Jordan in fourth and Jason Lowe in fifth.

Anthony Pittman scored his fifth Cruiser feature victory of the year, with Edwin Scott second, Randy Ledford third, Jimmy Wilson fourth and Stephen Smith fifth.

Dixie Speedway will host its annual Independence Day celebration on Saturday, June 27, including $3,000 to win for the Super Late Models and a fireworks display.
