When the checkered flag flew over Saturday night’s PASS North Super Late Model Series feature at Autodrome Chaudière in Vallée-Jonction, Quebec, Canada, it was St. Denis, Quebec native Patrick Laperle who would come home victorious.

Laperele would started the 150-lap event from the pole and, other than a handful of laps, would dominate the event.

The first caution would fly at lap 30 when Mike Rowe spun after contact entering turn 3. On the restart, Laperle would maintain his lead, followed by Travis Benjamin, Cassius Clark, D.J. Shaw and Glen Luce. Another caution would quickly follow on lap 34, when Philippe Poulin had an issue.

On the restart, Laperle would continue to lead the event through lap 55 when contact in turn 3 between Luce and Joey Doiron would bring out the caution and end the night for both drivers.

Back under green, Johnny Clark would join Laperle and Benjamin in the top three. The fourth caution of the evening would come at lap 71 when David Michaud went off the track in turn two, ending his night.

The ensuing green flag would see Benjamin take the lead away from Laperle with Shaw following him into second place. One lap later, Laperle would move past Shaw for second and retake the lead from Benjamin on lap 75. A quick caution on lap 91 would again bunch up the field. Laperle continued to lead.

Caution fell again on lap 126 for hard contact in turn 1 between Kevin Lacroix and Sean Kennedy, ending the evening for Lacroix. Benjamin mounted his last bid for the win on the restart with the final caution of the event falling just three laps later on lap 129 for trouble for Jacques Poulin.

After the final restart, Laperle would retake the lead and race on to the victory. Laperle would be followed to the stripe by Clark, Travis Benjamin, Shaw and Rowe.

The PASS North Super Late Model series is back in action on Friday, June 26 at Lee USA Speedway in Lee, NH.
