Josh Berry held off all challenges Saturday night to score his second Late Model Stock feature of the season at Hickory Motor Speedway in Newton, NC.

Landon Huffman would pace the field in qualifying for the second week in a row, with Matt Piercy on the outside of the front row. Ashley Huffman, Dexter Canipe, Jr. and Shane Lee would round out the top five qualifiers.

Landon Huffman would take the lead early and set the pace with the field close behind. Piercy would ride patiently in second while Berry worked his way towards the front. As the race neared the halfway mark, Berry closed the gap on the leaders.

While Berry moved closer, Piercy began pressuring Landon Huffman for the top spot. Berry waited patiently as Piercy would attempt to wrestle the lead from Huffman. After a brief caution, Berry was able to get by Piercy and began closing on Huffman, with Piercy in pursuit, setting up a three way battle for the lead.

Coming into the closing laps, the top four fought for positoin. As they came through turns three and four, Huffman spun, ending his chance for the win. On the restart, Berry moved to the lead with Piercy Shane Lee giving chase. Berry went on to hold off the pair to score the win. Piercy finished in second, with Lee in third, Canipe, Jr. in fourth and Huffman in fifth.

Kyle Mansch started the T-Mobile Limited Late Model feature on the pole. Mansch would go on to take the victory over Travis Byrd, with Mitch Walker in third, Zach Bruenger in fourth and Monty Cox in fifth.

The Street Stocks would see Wayne Edwards sneak out to an early lead as Kevin Eby and Charlie Neill battled for second. Edwards would take the win with Eby, Cody DeMarmels, Neill and Marshall Sutton rounding out the top five.

The Wrench Rags Renegades would return to action with Darren Dickinson took the win in the Wrench Rags Renegades feature. Blake Walker finished second, with Kenneth Roberts third, Ray Triplett fourth and Kyle Divanna fifth.

Action returns to Hickory Motor Speedway on Saturday, April 25, with racing in the Bojangles Late Models, T-Mobile Limited Late Models, Smokey’s Super Trucks, Street Stocks and the Sportsman Racing Classics.
