Stuart Dutton raced his way to the top of the leader board in Saturday night’s Outlaw Late Model feature at Watermelon Capital Speedway in Cordele, GA, and held on to score the season opening win.
Dutton, of Tallahassee, FL, held off Hawkinsville, GA’ s Tony Head en route to the victory. Warren Mobley finished in third, followed by Dacula, GA’s Christopher Tullis in fourth, with Stewart Smith in fifth.
In other action, hometown hero John Burke of Cordele held of Carlton Isreal to pick up the Enduro feature victory. Brandt Harvil finished in third, with James Yawn in fourth Jay Sorrow in fifth.
David Hodges scored the win in the Super Street feature, with Larry Walker in second.
In the Flathead Go Kart feature, Karston Thomas topped a deep field of competitors for the victory. Jeremy Moore finished second, followed by Cliff Daniels in third, Eric Bloodworth in fourth and James Lynn in fifth.
Dawn Brackett took the win in the Economy Go Karts feature. Rue Walden, Doug Sanneman, Jessie James and Kristen Ezell rounded out the top five.
