HARTWELL, GA – Despite the fact Nick Deitz has been competing at Hartwell Speedway for several years, capturing a victory at the Hartwell, GA track has eluded him. That all changed Saturday night when Deitz led a field of twelve to the checkered flag to score the SECA Late Model win.

Deitz started his night by qualifying on the pole, with Royce Bray would on the outside of the front row. At the drop of the green flag Deitz would power to the front and quickly try to separate himself from the rest of the field. Just behind him a storm was quickly brewing between Bray and Frankie Beard. For the first couple laps these two would battle door to door but eventually the side by side duel would end with a caution involving both cars.

On the restart, Deitz would reclaim the lead, leaving Grant Jordan, Dale Timms and the rest of the field chasing him down for the lead with no success. Dietz would cross the finish line with a car length advantage over Jordan for the win. Timms finished in third, with Bryce Alewine and Bray rounding out the top five.

In other action, Brandon Haley outdistanced Jimmy Johnson to score his second straight Limited Late Model victory. Larry Timms finished in third, with Drew Collins in fourth and Chad Puckett in fifth.

Rod Roberts took the victory in the Hobby Stock feature, with Robin Collins finishing in second, Brad Russell in third, Gerald Stanley in fourth and Brent Russell in fifth.

Justin Sims grabbed the win in the Modified Street feature. Rusty Jordan rolled home in second, with Chris Cape in third, Chris Jones in fourth and Aaron McIntosh in fifth.

George Fortson topped the field to score the Stock V8 feature victory. Cal Moon ran second, with Holly Bates in third, Terry Brown in fourth and Ray Foskey in fifth.

In the Stock Four Cylinder feature, Shane Strickland scored the win, with Brent Counch, J.J. Garrett, Dustin Bales and Mason Tucker rounding out the top five.

Jeremy Hicks scored the win in the Young Guns feature. Travis Hubbard finished in second, with Jessica Still in third.

Wayne Chapman, Jr. won the Up Front feature, with Robbie Cook in second and Jackie Holden in third.
