HARTWELL, GA – Keith Freeman has had a very solid season in Limited Late Model action at Hartwell Speedway in Hartwell, GA, with consistent top five finishes giving him the division points lead. But going into Saturday night, he had yet to put a check in the feature win column for the division.

At the end of the night, he could finally mark that item off his “to do” list, as Freeman held off Brandon Haley for the victory.

Freeman qualified on the pole alongside multi-race winner David McCoy. At the drop of the green, Freeman powered his way to the front while McCoy dropped a few positions back. Haley wasted no time make his presence known, as he pulled alongside Freeman in the turns on several occasions. Freeman would manage to surge ahead of Haley down the straightaways and maintain a slight lead.

Several cautions over the course of the feature allowed Haley to close the gap between the two, but Freeman would hold a steady line and cross the finish line a car length ahead of the rest of the field for the win. Haley finished in second, with McCoy in third, Jimmy Johnson in fourth and Stephen Segars in fifth.

In other action, Danny Sanders held Adam Smith at bay to pick up the win in the SECA Late Model feature. Royce Bray crossed the finish line in third, with Nick Deitz in fourth and Grant Jordan in fifth.
