WOODSTOCK, GA – Jason Croft jumped to the early lead in the Super Late Model feature at Dixie Speedway in Woodstock, GA Saturday night, gaining a straightaway at times with only cautions to slow him down, and drove away for the victory.

Croft had one scary moment when coming upon a lapped car that had not noticed the move over flag and was forced to spin the car out in the closing laps, bringing out a caution with one lap left to go. Croft was not challenged on the restart, but an alert Michael Page was able to jump into third place passing Tony Knowles. Page followed second place Ricky Williams to the checkered flag. Knowles finished fourth with Ricky Stevens in fifth.

Chris Fennell took the lead ahead of pole sitter Mario Gresham in the Steelhead Late Model feature, and went on to score his second win of the season. From there it was a battle for second thru fifth with Oliver Gentry moving into second and staying ahead of Dusty Chitwood for the position. Don Jenkins held on for fourth followed by Gresham in fifth.

After his car was destroyed in a front stretch flip two weeks ago, Zach Pilcher was back in victory lane with a win in the Crate Late Model feature in a borrowed car. Hunter Jones took the initial lead and looked to have things well in hand until he slipped high on lap five, giving Pilcher an opening to grab the lead. David Beam and Shane Smith made their way into second and third in the next few laps as Hunter’s handling began to fade. Justin Shipley made his way to fourth in the closing laps as Mason Massey took fifth.

Andy Morris went flag to flag in the Super Bomber Championship for the victory. Randall Powell tried hard but settled for second in the end. He was trailed by Terry Vollrath, Roy Patterson and Tom Darby.

The Economy Bomber feature would see James Gagnon lead every lap for his first career victory at Dixie Speedway. He would hold off close challengers John Davis and Dan Meadows at the final lap with Ryan Ray and Brent Beard finishing in fourth and fifth.

Jake Jones took the Pony Stock feature after holding off several challengers to the checkered flag. Travis Smith was the final challenge but only able the muster a second place finish ahead of David Kirkland, Bo Jordan, and Keremy Ray.

Todd Lankster and John Sexton gave the crowd a thrill as they staged a side by side battle for the win in the Cruiser feature. It took the final lap at the finish line for Lankster to pull out the win by just a few inches.

The next event at Dixie Speedway will be on July 19 with the USCS Sprint Cars making their yearly visit to the Speedway. For more info, visit dixiespeedway.com.
