Rainy weather washed out several planned racing programs over the holiday weekend.

The wet weather that rolled in Friday morning led several tracks to postpone events, including Anderson Motor Speedway in Williamston, SC, and Lavonia Speedway in Lavonia, GA.

The continued rainy weather caused other speedways to postpone their racing cards as well, including the season opener at Toccoa Speedway in Toccoa, GA, the opener for Rome Speedway in Rome, GA, dirt track action at Senoia Raceway in Senoia, GA and Hartwell Speedway in Hartwell, GA, and asphalt action at Greenville Pickens Speedway in Easley, SC.

The rain led race officials for the Winter Flurry Series on the ThunderRing at Atlanta Motor Speedway in Hampton, GA to cancel their season finale. Even NASCAR wasn’t immune, as the NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour event slated for Saturday at Caraway Speedway in Sophia, NC.

Several of these tracks that had special events planned for the Easter weekend are working to reschedule those events for later dates.
