Racers and fans were amped up to get the World Series of Asphalt Racing underway Friday night at New Smyrna Speedway in New Smyrna Beach, FL.
But Mother Nature had other ideas, as rain postponed the feature races for the evening.
Cars were rolling for the Modified feature when the skies opened up.
Events are slated to continue with better weather expected for Saturday evening.
